Happy New Year Everyone!
2013 is shaping up to be one of my best years yet! I know, it is only January 15th but the future holds so many beautiful new things.
Quick life update-
*Harper is nearly 2 (WHAAAAT?)
*We have moved to Ft. Collins CO (kind of old news)
*We purchased some property and are building an energy efficient/sustainable home (both with help AND by our own two hands) We plan to break ground in a month!!
*My sweet Golden retriever of 12 years passed away. (*sniff*)
*I tried being a vegetarian for 3 months and learned that it is just silly. sillyness I tell you. no.
*Celebrated 6 years of marriage to my love in New Orleans.
*We are diving into the commuity of Ft. Collins and are feeling deeply enriched by new friendships and new passions.
*Business is GREAT! I know, I know I havent been blogging all this greatness... but the above happenings are taking over my life, and honestly I am loving it. I love that sitting in front of a computer all day and bragging about myself isn't my top priority anymore. :D
(I mean, yes it will still happen from time to time... sorry)
A peek at what is, and what's to come -
I thought I'd share this joyful summer wedding I photographed in Nashville Tennessee. Hopefully it will warm your bones on this cold January day.
I am so thankful when my job takes me outside of Colorado. New places are refreshing creatively. I find that if I am feeling burnt out, the best remedy is a change of scenery.
Last year we traveled to New Orleans, Nashville and The Outer Banks NC, and so far for this year we are booked for Austin TX and a few more potential locations (fingers crossed)
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Nashville. It is densely green and rolling hills are scattered with civil war era farmhouses. The area is dripping with history, and I am a nerd when it comes to museums. I'd rather tour the museums than enjoy the nightlife, so unfortuanly we didn't take advantage of being a part of discovering the next Johnny Cash at the cafe 'round the corner.
I loved the feel of this wedding, elegant, yet raw.
Again, I must give a shout out to having ridiculously good looking clients. Who needs to plan conceptualized styled shoots when you have a real bride and groom who look like Brittany and John?
Enjoy.
Reception- Marathon Villiage
Ceremony- Anchor Fellowship
Decor/Flowers- DIY by bride and groom and families
Cake- Bride's mother

This wedding! Wow. Stunning all the way around. I am especially in love with some of the black and white shots, but they all capture the day so well. It was great hearing an update on your end as well. Very exciting about your house! Chris and I biked by a few weekends ago and I pointed out your guest house to him. We need to meet up again soon! All the best to you!
