Phil + Ashley *Wedding* Part 1
I could not narrow these photos down to less than 50 favorites so this post is split into two parts.
Phil and Ashley are such a lovely couple. I had a blast photographing their 7+ hour engagement session at the beginning of summer (of course thats including a drive to Denver and dinner after) and their wedding was even more spectacular.
Ashley is a joy to be around and a photographers dream bride.... and her bridesmaids were nothing less!
We began the day in Old Colorado City. If you want lots of color to work with this is the place to be.
Brian met up with the guys and snapped some awesome photos of Phil. I am SO lucky to have such a great photographer as my sidekick. He always draws out the best in the guys, much better than I ever could. I find that when I am left to photograph the groom and groomsmen, they aren't as relaxed and carefree, as if they need to behave or something of the sort.
Since Phil and Ashley decided to see each other before the ceremony, I wanted to create a magical "first Look" for them, and what more romantic place is there in Colorado Springs but The Broadmoor?
I had them meet beside the lake, with swans swimming beside. The day was gorgeous!
I had to literally put my camera away so I would stop photographing these two, or they would be late for their own wedding!
I hope you enjoy these shots as much as I do... and you MUST stay tuned for part 2... Ceremony and Reception!
love the shoes! She was sporting those stilettos all day!
Ashley made the necklaces for her girls

Thank you Phil and Ashley for being so stinking photogenic, for planning such a beautiful wedding, and for allowing Brian and I to be a part. :)
Stay Tuned.....

AH! I LOVE THESE! A great mix of fun and romance :) the one when there are both on the stairs is so unique! I also love the setting with the beautiful trees at the broadmoore. Has a notebook-y feel to it. GREAT job :)
