Roadtrip!

My dear dear husband's birthday was Thursday. Every year on his birthday since it is in June, we always try and plan a roadtrip or something summery and fun.... this year it was Las Vegas and San Diego! I am lucky enough to have family in San Diego and friends in Las Vegas, so we got hooked up! :)

My Aunt owns a beautiful house in San Diego with gorgeous views of Mission Bay and the beach! We grilled and chatted for hours just catching up on life. Brian and I spend some time riding up and down the boardwalk with our bikes and soaking up every drop of California sun that we could.

On the way there we were rockin' out and having our own little party in our jeep, but on the way back it was another story. We were spent! no music no fun, just driving! We arrived home at 1am and immediately crashed into bed. I have a busy busy weekend ahead.... but it was all WAY worth it :)

*all photos taken with my little point and shoot cam, didn't want to lug around the big guy on this trip...

oh yeah,

good 'ol Las Vegas, we won $6!!

Brian's B-day cake... we tried.. but didn't succeed in finishing it all.. it was as big as his FACE!!

LOVE San Diego!

We had way too much fun! now, BACK TO WORK! :)

Las Vegas... our Work-cation

On Thursday B and I set out on a roadtrip.. we love roadtrips... en route to San Diego to visit family. We decided to stop in Las Vegas where one of my dear dear friends lives and works at the Four Seasons. Let me just say we got HOOKED UP with awesomeness... half price rooms at Mandalay Bay 38 floors up overlooking the strip... AND a free five star meal... AND half price tickets to the Beatles Cirque De Solei show LOVE... Does Vegas get any better than that? Thanks Susan! I love you so so much, even if you didn't pull out all the magic connections it was still such a joy to see your face. :)

As always we bring our work with us everywhere we go, it is simply unavoidable, so that was a bit of a bummer at times... but with all the major blessings of free stuff, it was a small price to pay!

Anyway... off to San Diego and THE OCEAN!
