Our most precious treasure has turned one this weekend.
Our daughter Harper has brought more joy to our lives than we could have ever dreamed.
Becoming a parent is full of mystery. It's as if we are seafarers pointing to fast approaching land in the distance- it is a new beginning, a symbol of hope, anticipation and legacy. Yet once you step foot onto the sand you are met with wild adventure... An adventure that molds and forms you into a better version of yourself, through discipline, selflessness, courage, and most of all, endurance.
I have only been exploring this path for one year and am a better woman because of it.
And in that one year I have seen beauty in its most precious form.
We love you Harper Elizabeth, our most precious treasure.
~Happy Birthday~
I loved planning Harper's vintage Strawberry Shortcake birthday celebration. Pink and Red everywhere!
Thank you to my dear dear friend Kaitlyn for opening up your home for Harper's party! You are always such a blessing to me!
My mom MADE and decorated this cake! My own resident Martha Stewart!
I'm also proud to say I made the happy birthday sign :)
Harper approves!
My brothers (Harper's uncles) hand made, hand carved, and hand painted this rocking horse. I cried... such a priceless gift.
My brothers are starting their own woodcraft business. If you need any carpentry or wood restoration work I'll connect you to them. They are exceptional!
The best part was getting to spend this special day with our wonderful friends and family. We are so thankful Harper is surrounded by such love and support.
If you didn't notice, I'd like to point out that Harper rocked 3 different outfits.... mom couldn't choose. :)
Happy Birthday sweet girl, you can stop getting so big now.
